The Veranda wraps both upper ends of the Fire Pit — the left end above the hoop and the right end behind Orange Army. This is the most social, most relaxed and most distinctly North Queensland section in the entire arena. No other basketball venue in Australia could credibly have a section called The Veranda. It has the energy, the atmosphere and the unique tropical Townsville identity that makes the Fire Pit unlike anywhere else. If you want to introduce someone to the Fire Pit for the first time, or bring a group that wants the full event experience, The Veranda is where the night starts.
