Welcome to the “Your School is a Fire School” campaign, an exciting opportunity for schools to partner with the Townsville Fire WNBL basketball team and ignite school spirit like never before! By joining our campaign, schools can enjoy a range of benefits, incentives, and exclusive experiences that will bring the excitement of basketball right to your campus!

What’s in it for you?!

Prize Packs: Each participating school will receive a prize pack per term, per year, filled with exciting Fire merchandise and goodies to reward students and staff for their enthusiasm and support.

Discounts on Game Day Tickets: Schools enrolled in the campaign will receive exclusive discounts on tickets to Townsville Fire home games, making it more accessible for students, families, and staff to experience the thrill of live basketball action!

Fire Day at the School: A special Fire Day will be organised at each participating school where students are encouraged to dress in Fire gear or wear orange to show their support, including tickets to an upcoming game. A Fire player will visit the school to judge the best-dressed students and award prizes, including tickets to an upcoming game. The best-dressed class will also win a prize, and all students will have the chance to attend a game together at the end of term 4.

School Basketball Pack: The school with the most members enrolled in the campaign will win a fantastic basketball pack, including a coaching board, basketballs, and a set of training singlets to enhance their schools basketball program.

Allocated Fire Player: Each participating school will be allocated a Townsville Fire player* for Term 4, who will make five visits to the school throughout the term. These visits can include basketball clinics, motivational talks, autograph sessions, and more, providing students with unique opportunities to interact with professional athletes and role models.

Official Fire School Recognition: Schools enrolled in the campaign will be listed as official Fire Schools on the Townsville Fire’s website, showcasing their commitment to supporting the team and promoting basketball within their community.

One Thing DV Program

One of the most meaningful initiatives we run alongside our partners the North Queensland Women’s Legal Service, to start the conversation about coercive control, this initiative is proudly sponsored by South32 Cannington. This workshop aims to give the participants the tools to understand the signs of coercive control, and teaching us it’s in our control to end coercive control.
